Hi Neil
I am using a Pulsar2 with The Sky 6. The Pulsar2 is ASCOM compliant but The Sky 6 does not dircetly support ASCOM. To Make this work you need to install ASCOM V5 on your system and download a plugin called TeleAPI from
http://ascom-standards.org/Downloads/Plugins.htm.
Once you have ASCOM and the plugin installed you should select Telecope API in The Sky 6. You should then click on settings which should bring up the ASCOM chooser where you can select your telescope and COM port etc. You can try selecting the generic LX200 although you may get timeout problems as I did. Let me know if you do.
If you want to be adventurous and be able to connect your telescope to more than one program at the same time you could select 'POTH' (Plain Old Telescope Hub' and then select the telescope via POTH. Get back to me if you need more help with this.
Neil sounds 'English'; are you in the UK? I am, and I have a sneaky suspicion that we have the same supplier for our G42 and Pulsar2.
Regards
Peter
