Hallo Forum,

my Pulsar2 is in Upgrade-Mode and I'm not able to use the Pulsar Commander (v3.1) to Upgrade to FW 3.80a!

I can connect on com 2 but after initialising I can not click on Upgrade-Menu!!! :errr

Also in SamProg (JTAG mode only) there is no active connection (via USB)....... :?

How can I solve this problem..... (never touch a running System!!)

EDIT:

I switched to a other PC and install all Pulsar2 stuff again and now FW flashing was no problem!

After that Pulsar2 specks with commander also :cheer

Hi Thomas

I had the same problem. I could not get an active connection with SamProg after starting an upgrade with my Pulsar2. I know the USB port was working because I could hear the usual sounds. I could also see a change in Device Manager, so I know that the Pulsar2 USB port was active and connecting.

It took me a long while to establish that whenever I connected the Pulsar2 it was being recognised as a completely different device; in my case it was being reported as a LEGO device that was waiting for a firmware upgrade. A few years ago I had a programmable LEGO device on my system which had long since been uninstalled, but I guess the driver was still there and for some reason it caused some confusion with the Pulsar2.

I tried it on a second XP computer that had not had the LEGO software installed and SamProg immediately found a connection and upgraded the firmware.

Strange.......!

Regards

Peter
